TERMS & CONDITIONS

Acceptance of Your Vehicle

Please be aware that our estimated installation time includes a full surface and paintwork preparation, prior to any vinyl wrap being applied.

We must apply a chemical surface cleaner, removing all tar, grease, wax and silicone, in order to ensure smooth application.

If your car comes to us without having had a thorough prior clean, the extra preparation may increase the total installation time and, in some cases, push the work over schedule.

Defective Paintwork

The successful application and removal  of wrapping film is only possible on original factory paintwork.  Any damaged, flaking, or weak paintwork will not allow the film to bond correctly.

For this reason, we cannot offer any warranty on wraps covering defective paintwork. Any future wrap repair or replacement will be chargeable at a panel rate.

If you allow us to wrap over your non-original factory paintwork then we will not be liable for damage that may occur to your underlying paint on removal of your wrap.

If your car has special surface treatments we need to be informed of these. Micro wax nano-coatings present on the surfaces of your vehicle will cause the wrap application to fail.

If informed in advance, we can chemically remove any coating on the surface of your vehicle prior to wrapping. If uninformed, we will not be liable for the failure of the application.

If you do not provide us with this information prior to application, any repair work will be charged at a panel rate.

Trim Removal

Prior to applying your custom wrap, we will be required to de-trim your vehicle.

We are able to de-trim most vehicles. However, we are not body shop approved.

If you drive a high-value vehicle, we strongly recommend that you engage the services of a manufacturer-approved body shop technician to remove your handles, mirrors, and light clusters.

Many high-value modern cars are controlled by computers, and you may incur charges from your manufacturer or dealership. We will not be liable for any of these charges, during the application process or after the wrap has been applied.

If you allow us to de-trim your vehicle we will not be liable for any errors, mechanical or electrical repairs, or parts exchanges.

Limitations

DS Graphics are approved wrap technicians and are certified to apply wrap films to vehicles. This involves covering your vehicle in vinyl film.

Our work is within the manufacturer’s guidelines and will not affect your warranty.

At times we will need to place lower tension inlays and joins into your wrap which will be almost invisible. We do this out of professionalism, to ensure optimum durability and increased lifespan for your wrap.

If there are no joins on deep recesses this usually means a slightly more aesthetic result but the resulting weakness is not worthwhile.

Over-stretching the vinyl one of the number one causes of a wrap failing. This is due to diluted adhesive coverage. Handle bowls on front and rear bumper, air intakes and mirrors are the most common areas for consideration.

We reserve the right to make expert decisions on any area we deem an issue.

Wrap Aftercare

To the untrained eye, it is hard to distinguish a wrap from paint; however, the aftercare is as different as is the finished look.

To ensure the best quality and lifespan for your wrap:

Do not wash for 7 days.  Then hand wash only.

You should not attempt to use any t-cut compounds.

Do not attempt to use polishes with acids or solvents in them.

Do not allow any silicones near the edges of the vinyl wrap.

No jet washing at all, especially at the edges—this will void your warranty and decrease the lifespan of your wrap.

In the event of failure, we are able to lab-test vinyl samples to determine the root cause.

Wrap film may scratch and mark the same as paint—this is simply natural wear and tear. However, one benefit of wrapping is the lower cost of panel repair work compared to that of a paint body shop.

Any repair work to wear and tear will be chargeable at a panel rate.

3 Year Guarantee

DS Graphics is one of very few companies offering a 3 years guarantee on all vehicle wraps.

Due to the nature of wrapping and the harsh conditions some vehicles encounter, wraps can sometimes fail and peel.

Our 3-year guarantee covers any wrap failure, including peeling, coming back, and edges lifting.

The guarantee does not cover:

  • stone chips
  • accident damage
  • staining
  • textured plastic parts, sprayed and wrapped with your consent

All repairs not covered by the 3-year guarantee will be charged at a panel price.
